Job summary

Gini Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high-traffic, enterprise travel platform. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices within a large tech ecosystem that includes Java EE legacy systems and modern Spring Boot and Quarkus components.

The role emphasizes building REST and gRPC services, strong collaboration across teams, and contributing to modernization efforts. This hybrid position is based in Istanbul with 2 days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Quarkus / Java, including reactive and/or native development.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with gRPC and REST APIs.
• Strong experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with modernizing legacy Java technologies (EJB, JSF, WildFly).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and coding standards.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus.
• Contribute to high-traffic, production-critical microservice architectures.
• Participate in modernization and integration of legacy Java EE applications.
• Develop and maintain REST and gRPC-based services.
• Perform technical analysis of business requirements and prepare technical documentation.
• Produce testable software outputs in line with development processes and standards.
• Monitor application performance, logs, and metrics.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, DevOps, architecture, and other teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality standards.
• Work within Agile software development methodologies.
