Job summary

Argela Technologies is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices with Java and Spring Boot. You will work with Redis, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD in an Agile environment, delivering high-performance systems.

You will collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to ensure clean code, robust testing, and efficient deployment in on-premise environments. Excellent English communication is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience
• Strong microservices and distributed systems knowledge
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, and major RDBMS
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Excellent performance analysis and optimization skills
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Proficient in Git and version control
• Agile/Scrum development experience
• Knowledge of JVM tuning and profiling tools
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture
• DDD and Clean Architecture familiarity
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools to boost productivity
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• English proficiency at professional level

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services based on microservices architecture
• Develop and maintain applications using Spring Boot framework and Spring ecosystem
• Integrate with Redis, Kafka, and relational databases (RDBMS)
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in on-premise environments
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, and deployment
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance
• Follow software engineering best practices with a focus on clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Test, and Product Management
