Job summary

Magna Seating in İzmit, Turkey, seeks an experienced IT Systems Administrator to support manufacturing IT, monitor logs, set up user accounts, and ensure daily operation of desktops and servers.

You will administer SQL/ERP/CRM applications, EDI interfaces, PowerShell scripts, and Azure cloud services while maintaining security controls and aiding audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a computer/technology related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a system administrator within a manufacturing company.
  • Experience with automotive EDI systems and customer integrations (Especially Ford).
  • Ability to perform installation and repair tasks, possibly involving lifting or bending.
  • Strong understanding of PC workstations and related tech for safe setup.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system logs and troubleshoot problems.
  • Write basic OS documentation.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Prepare computers for users and support phones and computers for division employees.
  • Support day-to-day IT operations and licensing.
  • Assist with IT audits and compliance tasks.
  • Analyze database performance and storage needs.
  • Maintain change control and testing for database modifications.
  • Execute basic PowerShell/Command Shell commands.
  • Ensure cybersecurity and OT safety during changes; coordinate with Controls Engineering.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in a computer/technology related field
  • Min 5 years of experience as a system admin within a manufacturing company
  • Experience with automotive EDI systems and customer integrations (Especially Ford)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work, such as installation and repair, which may involve driving, lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of personal computer workstations and technologies to be able to install equipment and systems safely and effectively
  • Self‑directed, able to work independently
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
  • Cloud experience preferably Azure
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety hazards to perform job duties safely and effectively
  • Good knowledge in English
  • Living to Kocaeli or willing to relocate to Kocaeli
Job Responsibilities
  • Monitors and reviews system logs and detects and troubleshoots problems
  • Writes basic technical operating system documentation
  • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
  • Set up, images, and prepares computers for users, supports both phones and computers for all employees of the division
  • Ensures the proper day‑to‑day operations of internal applications and peripheral equipment
  • Responds to critical IT emergencies after regular work hours as needed
  • Monitor, analyze and measure database performance and storage needs
  • Ensure development, implementation, and maintains change control and testing process for modifications to databases
  • Executes basic PowerShell or Command Shell commands
  • Executes cybersecurity and IT controls in a manner that respects OT safety, uptime, and production constraints; does not unilaterally implement changes impacting OT systems without alignment with Controls Engineering leadership
  • Investigate and diagnose network problems, monitor network performance, test for weaknesses, collect statistics and make recommendations for improving software, hardware, upgrades, patches, re‑configurations and/or purchases the company’s IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions
  • Assists users and information technology staff with desktop technology basic information and configurations.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting for desktop hardware and software.
  • Provides desktop "help desk" function.
  • Orders and receives desktop equipment.
  • Maintains inventory of hardware and software.
  • Administers systems, repairs, and licensing.
  • Diagnoses faults
  • Supports annual IT and IT Security audits, including creating action plans, and responsibilities for remediation
  • Analyzes, communicates, and validates requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.
  • Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals
  • Responsibilities include SQL, CRM, EDI and ERP administrator
