Job summary

EMW, Inc. in Izmir, Turkey, seeks a Principal Technician (Infrastructure and Database Administration) to lead the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of core IT infrastructure and databases.

You will oversee virtualization, AD, SQL Server and Oracle DBs, and ensure security and compliance within NATO frameworks. The role requires NATO SECRET clearance, 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong Windows/Linux expertise, and close collaboration with internal service lines.

Qualifications

• NATO SECRET clearance is required.
• 3–5 years post-related IT infra experience.
• In-depth IT infrastructure management and capacity planning experience.
• Proficiency with mainstream hypervisors/virtual infrastructure and server virtualization.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, GPOs, and desktop deployment skills.
• Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems and SSO.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle DB management.
• Knowledge of server clustering, storage, and backup systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provisions, installs, configures and maintains infrastructure services and components.
• Monitors, measures and reports on infrastructure load, performance and security events.
• Assists IaaS systems and resolves alerts in data centres and SAN/storage environments.
• Manages virtual infrastructure (VMware) and related hardware/software.
• Maintains NATO networks with Windows Core AD services and policies.
• Handles software updates/patching for Windows and Linux systems.
• Administers COI databases and third-party deployments.
• Manages Exchange servers and backup/recovery solutions.
• Coordinates daily tasks with CSU units and other technical groups.
• Performs incident/problem ticket resolution and reports.
