Job summary

Tüprag A.Ş., a subsidiary of Eldorado Gold, is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Specialist for our Kışladağ Gold Mine in Uşak. The role focuses on implementing, executing and auditing health and safety systems in line with company policies and legal requirements.

You will lead inspections, develop standards, analyze OHS management systems, conduct risk assessments, and drive incident investigations to protect workers and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining or chemical engineering.
• Safety Specialist Certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience in OHS in the mining sector.
• Knowledge of OHS Management Systems and SEVESO Process.
• Knowledge and experience with ICMC (preferred).
• Familiarity with OHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Proficient MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, organize inspections with regulatory bodies, and manage actions arising from inspections.
• Maintain and improve OHS management systems, develop and enhance company standards and practices.
• Conduct OHS management system analyses and improvements to ensure all employees return home safely.
• Perform sufficient proactive monitoring and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in and manage incident investigations, conduct risk assessments, implement corrective actions, and track the progress of ongoing investigations and corrective/preventive measures.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture and provide guidance and support to supervisors and team members to ensure compliance.
• Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and safe systems of work.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mining or chemical)
• Safety Specialist Certificate
• At least 3 years of experience in OHS in the mining sector
• Knowledge and experience with OHS Management Systems and SEVESO Process
• Knowledge and experience with International Cyanide Management Code (ICMC) (Preferably)
• Well knowledge on OHS legislation and requirements.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Good MS Office skills
