Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect, develop, and support scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will drive data pipelines, champion infrastructure automation, and lead DevOps workflows to deliver reliable, high-performance data platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform/dbt, Airflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Terraform, along with CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of SQL and Python experience required.
• Deep knowledge of GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform/dbt).
• Proficiency with Cloud Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
• DevOps knowledge: CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform.
• Strong communication skills and business acumen.
• English at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Work with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform/dbt for data solutions.
• Coordinate workflows with Cloud Composer/Airflow.
• Manage real-time data streaming via Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage.
• Implement IaC with Terraform and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure data quality.
