Job summary

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to advance our cyber security capabilities, strengthen our security architecture, and protect mission-critical aviation systems.

You will lead detection, incident response, and remediation activities, develop threat detection use-cases, and perform threat hunting while collaborating with IT Operations, software development teams, and external security partners to continuously improve SOC operations and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software/Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Cyber Security.
• Experience in SOC Operations, Blue Team, Security Engineering, or Security Architecture.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, DLP, IAM, and PAM technologies.
• Strong knowledge of network, system, and cloud security.
• Experience in Threat Hunting and Incident Response.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and NIST frameworks.
• Proficient in log analysis, threat detection, and correlation rule creation.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GCIH, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead detection, investigation, and response to cyber security incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate remediation.
• Develop and enhance threat detection use-cases and correlation rules.
• Perform Threat Hunting to proactively identify risks.
• Improve SOC operations and cyber defense capabilities.
• Lead vulnerability management and security assessment initiatives.
• Contribute to security architecture across infra, apps, cloud, and endpoints.
• Collaborate with IT Operations, Software Development, and security partners.
• Prepare technical and executive cyber security reports and recommendations.
• Support cyber security awareness across the organization.

What We're Looking For:

• Collaborate closely with IT Operations, Software Development teams, and external security partners
• Prepare technical and executive‑level cyber security reports and recommendations
• Support knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of cyber security awareness across the organization
