Job summary

Our client, a leading local chemical manufacturer based in Çorlu, seeks a Senior Chemical Purchasing Engineer to secure reliable raw material supply for production. You will manage sourcing, supplier evaluation, and end-to-end procurement of chemical materials.

You will lead price negotiations, analyze market trends, and coordinate with Production, Planning, Logistics, and R&D to optimize cost and continuity. Fluency in English and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• Min. 5 years in end-to-end supply chain and procurement within chemical manufacturing.
• Hands-on procurement, sourcing, planning, and logistics experience.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Willing to travel; no restrictions on business travel.
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Çorlu or nearby areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing of chemical raw materials to meet production needs.
• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers; identify alternatives.
• Negotiate price, terms, lead times, and Incoterms with suppliers.
• Monitor material requirements based on plans, orders, forecasts and stock levels.
• Coordinate with Production and Planning to ensure availability of materials.
• Track inventory, usage, and reorder needs; maintain safety stock levels.
• Record purchases from PO to delivery and warehouse receipt.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Customs, and Warehouse on deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and mitigate supply risks.
• Follow market prices and trends to support decisions.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and support cost reductions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Logistics on material needs.
• Prepare reports on purchasing, inventory, supplier performance and costs.
