Job summary

Medicasimple, a fast-growing dental practice management software company in Istanbul, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on backend development. You will own backend features, build REST APIs, and create reliable integrations with external services using Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.

You will collaborate with product and QA, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architecture while ensuring security and data isolation across organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from a leading Turkish university.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend with Java and Spring Boot, REST API design.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience integrating external services via APIs and webhooks.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant data isolation.

Responsibilities

• Own backend features from requirement clarification and technical design through implementation, testing, and release.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and business logic supporting clinic operations and patient workflows.
• Develop reliable integrations with external services through APIs and webhooks, including error handling, retries, and recovery.
• Design and improve data models, schema migrations, transactions, and queries to support correctness and performance.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data isolation across organizations using the platform.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and write targeted tests to prevent problems.
• Contribute to code reviews and architecture improvements for reliability and maintainability.
