Job summary

Avenga is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead an innovative R&D project building advanced AI solutions in a fast-paced environment. You’ll combine ML expertise with Generative AI, developing end-to-end data pipelines, production models, and multi-agent systems.

This hands-on role requires mentoring engineers, taking ownership of technical decisions, and actively contributing to development.

Qualifications

• Strong ML background with classical algorithms, model training, and fine-tuning.
• Technical leadership mentoring ML engineers and architectural decisions.
• End-to-end AI/ML development from data ingestion to production deployment.
• Experience with LangGraph or LangChain for multi-agent orchestration.
• Hands-on with LLMs, RAG architectures, prompts, function calling, tool integration.
• Experience with embeddings, semantic search, vector databases.
• Strong Python skills, API development (FastAPI), asynchronous programming, and Pydantic.
• Experience with Docker and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced R&D with changing priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

We are looking for an experienced Senior AI / ML Engineer to join an innovative R&D project focused on building advanced AI solutions for complex, real-world challenges.

You’ll combine strong machine learning expertise with modern Generative AI technologies to develop end-to-end solutions, from large-scale data processing and model development to intelligent multi-agent systems.

We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring engineers, and taking ownership of technical decisions while remaining actively involved in development.

Core skills you’ll bring

• Strong Machine Learning background, including classical ML algorithms, model training, and fine-tuning.


• Proven technical leadership experience, including mentoring ML engineers, architectural decisions, and hands‑on development.


• Experience building end-to-end AI/ML solutions, from data ingestion to production deployment.


• Strong experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar frameworks for multi-agent orchestration.


• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, function calling, and tool integration.


• Experience with embeddings, semantic search, retrieval optimization, and vector databases.


• Strong Python skills, API development (FastAPI or similar), asynchronous programming, and Pydantic or equivalent.


• Experience with Docker and AI-assisted coding tools.

Nice to have:

GCP/Vertex AI, Gemini, AWS/Azure, and signal/image processing experience.
