GE Aerospace in Turkey is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to support the design, development, and improvement of rotor hardware and mechanical systems for next‑gen engine programs and technology demonstrators.

You will plan and execute design activities, perform analyses, and participate in hardware releases while collaborating with stress, manufacturing, quality and systems teams to meet performance, safety and producibility goals.

Qualificações

• BSc and/or MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical component design engineering.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated skills, familiarity or ability to learn CAD modelling and simulation tools.
• Strong cross-functional teaming, coordination and communication skills.
• Highly motivated, self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aviation technology.
• Demonstrated accountability, ownership skills and diligence in meeting commitments within tight and fluctuation schedules.
• Ability to guide and influence others.

Responsabilidades

• Support the design, development, and improvement of rotor hardware and mechanical systems for aerospace products.
• Plan and execute assigned design activities within established engineering processes and standards.
• Lead design reviews, hardware releases, and test support for technology demonstrators and rigs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as stress, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering.
• Apply sound technical judgment and escalate complex issues as needed.
