Job summary

İSTANBUL SABAHATTİN ZAİM ÜNİVERSİTESİ invites applications for a Research Associate to join our AIR & DL Laboratory. The position offers a unique opportunity to lead cutting-edge research in NLP, large language models, and predictive analytics within a dynamic academic setting.

You will teach one undergraduate or graduate course per semester, supervise a graduate student, collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI models into the Campus Information System, and prepare grant

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences or journals.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Experience in developing LLM-based applications or predictive modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with distributed GPU computing, cluster networking, and server/Linux administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-impact research in NLP, LLM, or Institutional Intelligence.
• Teach one undergraduate or graduate course per semester.
• Supervise or co-advise at least one graduate student.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI models into the Campus Information System (CIS).
• Prepare and submit research grant proposals to TÜBİTAK, Horizon Europe, and other funding agencies.
• Manage the lab’s multi-node GPU computing infrastructure, including network topology and system administration.
