Qualifications

• 7+ years of security experience with substantial hands-on application security work
• Experience maturing an application security program including reviews and vulnerability management
• Strong knowledge of secure software design and OWASP principles
• Ability to read and understand application code and collaborate with engineers on remediation
• At least 2 years of people management experience
• Experience leading security initiatives while remaining hands-on
• Regular use of AI agents and AI-assisted development or security tools
• Ability to evaluate AI-assisted code analysis and automated remediation

Responsibilities

• Define and own the application security roadmap and remediation processes
• Conduct hands-on security reviews and triage vulnerabilities
• Embed secure development practices across the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
• Design an AI-first application security strategy and oversight
• Collaborate with engineering to avoid delivery bottlenecks while strengthening security
• Oversee third-party and vendor security assessments
• Establish zero-trust principles and IAM, logging and alerting
• Lead incident response for application security incidents
• Coordinate with Compliance and IT operations under a unified strategy
• Align security and compliance roadmaps across functions
• Manage access reviews, identity governance and endpoint security
• Engage with compliance to meet SOC 2 and other requirements
• Represent security posture to leadership, customers and auditors
• Own security questionnaires and remediation plans for external stakeholders
• Provide strategic recommendations on security risks and operational improvements
