Fundraise Up is seeking a Backend Engineer to architect and scale our high-load donation platform. You will own core services in Node.js/TypeScript, tackle distributed systems, and drive performance and reliability in a globally deployed product.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development in product-driven environments.
• Strong Node.js (Koa/NestJS) and TypeScript expertise.
• Experience with MongoDB and modern data/analytics stacks.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop features from concept to deployment in collaboration with product and frontend teams.
• Own key backend components for performance, reliability, and security.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices.
