Job summary

YO IT Consulting seeks a Python Quality Assurance Lead for an hourly remote contractor role. You will oversee Python QA across AI training projects, review code, provide written feedback, and ensure adherence to project rubrics and guidelines.

You’ll lead quality efforts, communicate with trainers/QAs on Discord, maintain documentation, and help onboard contributors. This position offers flexible remote engagement and future project opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, software eng, data science, or equivalent.
• Strong English to follow guidelines and give feedback.
• 3+ years in Python development, backend, automation, data workflows, QA, or mentoring.
• Solid Python fundamentals and testing knowledge.
• Ability to evaluate Python content against rubrics and spot issues.

Responsibilities

• Spot-check Python items and provide feedback to improve quality.
• Review AI-generated Python code, debugging, and explanations.
• Update Discord/trainers on guidelines and quality expectations.
• Answer questions on syntax, runtime, exceptions, tests, and security.
• DM inactive contributors and help activate them.
• Create/maintain Python docs, style guides, and onboarding materials.
• Run onboarding/training calls for Python contributors.
• Flag insecure or non-production-ready Python recommendations.
• Identify recurring quality gaps and improve QA workflows.
