Job summary

World Business Lenders (WBL), a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce, seeks a hands-on FP&A Team Lead to own a defined area within FP&A, lead analysts, and ensure timely, useful financial insights. This contract/consultant role requires strong English communication and a track record in FP&A leadership.

The role covers Corporate Planning & Performance and Portfolio & Capital areas, guiding budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while collaborating with related departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Five+ years of FP&A, financial modeling, or related finance experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating analysts or finance professionals.
• Strong understanding of income statement, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements and building a three-statement model in Excel.
• Advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills including scenario analysis and reconciliation to source data.
• Ability to communicate financial results clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Depth in at least one functional assignment listed above; not required to be expert in both.
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines and maintain remote communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day work of FP&A Analysts and provide coaching.
• Own recurring models, forecasts, analyses, and reporting within assigned area.
• Review models for accuracy, consistency, methodology, transparency, and usability.
• Analyze results, identify drivers, challenge assumptions, and explain management implications.
• Lead scenario and sensitivity analyses within the area.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Operations to gather inputs and improve reporting accuracy.
• Maintain assumptions, schedules, version control, and process documentation for key models.
• Improve, standardize, and automate recurring FP&A processes and reporting.
• Support broader FP&A, due-diligence, and strategic projects when needed.
