Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking back-end developers for a fully remote, hourly contract in Istanbul to design, build, and optimize server-side systems and APIs powering AI products.

The role involves data pipelines, model-serving infra, and scalable microservices that endure real-world traffic, with a remote, flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems, plus experience with PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Redis and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more backend languages (Python, Go, Java, Node.js, Rust)
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ability to work asynchronously across time zones and document decisions clearly

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Build scalable server-side architecture to support AI workloads
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code following best practices
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams of engineers and researchers
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to architectural decisions
• Work independently on task- and project-based assignments
