Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Product Specialist to support regional product strategies under the RPM, PL, PT, HUB APMEA. You will focus on benchmarking, market trends, and developing regional roadmaps to strengthen competitiveness.

The role involves collaboration with Engineering, SCM, M&S, Production across five PT factories and with Global Product Managers. Strong technical and analytical skills are essential to drive value and innovation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering required; master's considered an asset.
Minimum of five years in an engineering role, ideally in power transformer industry.
Strong knowledge of product analytics and competitive analysis.
Understanding of manufacturing processes for power transformers.
Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and ability to translate data into actionable strategies.

Responsibilities

Define and implement regional product roadmap initiatives aligned with market demand across HUB APMEA.
Support RPM in providing regional MRS and business cases for R&D initiatives.
Improve competitiveness by optimizing transformer designs and related costs; validate DtV project savings.
Review designs and run concept evaluations; collaborate with stakeholders to ensure competitiveness.
Coordinate with Engineering, SCM, M&S, Production across five PT factories within APMEA.
Collaborate with GPS and TG Designers as needed for project requirements.
Develop training programs for stakeholders and ensure compliance with policies.
