Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Quality Technician (Tank Workshop) to oversee inspection stages for transformer tanks at our Dilovası, Kocaeli facility. You will handle ITP/QCP, incoming material checks, and dimensional verification during final assembly, with focus on quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires mechanical technical education and at least 3 years in transformer-related QA, with knowledge of drawing, SAP QM, NCR, and MS Office; shifts and occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical education in mechanical field; 2- or 4-year degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in the transformer sector.
• Knowledge of technical drawing, measuring tools, SAP QM, NCR and MS Office.
• Ultrasonic inspection Level 2 is an asset.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Willingness to shift work and overtime when needed.
• Teamwork oriented; eager to learn and improve.
• Good command of English and Turkish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect transformer tanks manufacturing stages, ITP and QCP.
• Inspect Incoming Material.
• Inspect welding and coating processes.
• Perform NDT inspections per TUV Nord, EN 473, ISO 9712 and ASME.
• Conduct final assembly dimensional inspections.
• Provide solutions for customer complaints.
• Support supplier qualification, materials and production processes.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.

We are looking for a Quality Technician (Tank Workshop) who will be able to demonstrate knowledge in Hitachi Energy Power Transformers Factory in Dilovası/Kocaeli.

How you'll make an impact:

• Responsible for inspection of transformer tanks manufacturing stages, ITP and QCP.
• Responsible for Incoming Material Inspection.
• Responsible for Welding and Coating Inspections.
• Responsible for NDT inspections TUV Nord- EN 473 ISO 9712 and ASME.
• Responsible for final assembly dimensional inspections.

• Technical knowledge for supplier qualification, material and production processes.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external & internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.

Your Background:

• Technical high school diploma or Vocational School graduation from mechanical departments (preferably holding a 2-year associate degree or a 4-year degree in a technical field).
• At least 3 years of experience preferably in the transformer sector.
• Knowledgeable about technical drawing, measuring instruments, SAP QM module, NCR, MS Office tools.
• Ultrasonic Inspection Level 2 certificate is an asset.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Able to adapt a shift work system and accommodate overtime when necessary.
• Teamwork-oriented, eager to learn and improve.
• Preferably with a good command of English and Turkish.
