Job summary

MAD Parfumeur in Ankara is seeking an experienced Quality Control Director to lead our QC organization at the cosmetics manufacturing facility.

The role focuses on ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance of raw materials, packaging components, bulk and finished products. You will oversee the QC laboratory and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required.
• 10+ years in Quality Control within cosmetics or related industries.
• Proven experience in laboratory management and analytical testing.
• Strong knowledge of Cosmetic GMP / ISO 22716 and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all QC operations across raw materials, packaging, bulk, and finished products.
• Ensure analytical activities are accurate, consistent, and timely.
• Oversee method validation/verification, equipment qualification, calibration.
• Manage OOS, OOT, deviations, and laboratory incidents and investigations.
• Support CAPA, Change Control, Risk Assessment, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Cosmetic GMP / ISO 22716 and related standards.
• Maintain product specifications, testing procedures, and lab documentation.
• Monitor quality trends and establish QC KPIs across the organization.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, Supply Chain to identify root causes and implement CAPAs.

Quality Control Director

About the Role

Mad Parfumeur is one of the leading players in the Turkish perfume and cosmetics industry.We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Quality Control Director to lead our Quality Control organization at our cosmetics manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and compliance of our raw materials, packaging components, bulk products, and finished products, while leading the Quality Control laboratory and driving a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement.

This is a key leadership role, working closely with Quality Assurance, R&D/Formulation, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other functions to ensure that our products consistently meet internal standards, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage all Quality Control operations, including raw material, packaging, bulk, and finished product testing.


• Ensure that all analytical activities are performed accurately, consistently, and within defined specifications and timelines.


• Oversee analytical methods, method validation/verification, equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance.


• Manage and investigate OOS, OOT, deviations, laboratory incidents, and quality-related investigations.


• Support CAPA, Change Control, Risk Assessment, and continuous improvement activities.


• Ensure compliance with Cosmetic GMP / ISO 22716 and applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements.


• Establish, review, and maintain product specifications, testing procedures, and laboratory documentation.


• Monitor quality trends and establish appropriate Quality Control KPIs.


• Work closely with Production and R&D to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.


• Support new product development, new raw material qualification, process changes, and product transfers from a Quality Control perspective.


• Manage relationships with relevant external laboratories, suppliers, and service providers where applicable.


• Represent the Quality Control function during customer, supplier, certification, and regulatory audits.


• Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Control team, ensuring technical competence and continuous professional development.


• Drive laboratory efficiency, data integrity, cost optimization, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.


• 10+ years of professional experience in Quality Control, preferably within the cosmetics, fragrance, chemical, or related manufacturing industries.


• Proven experience in laboratory and team management.


• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques such as GC/GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, density, refractive index, viscosity etc.


• Experience with analytical method development, validation/verification, and laboratory equipment management.


• Strong knowledge of Cosmetic GMP / ISO 22716 GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 ve ISO 4500 and quality management systems.


• Hands‑on experience with OOS/OOT investigations, deviations, CAPA, Change Control, and Root Cause Analysis.


• Experience with internal, customer, supplier, and external audits.


• Strong understanding of quality risk management and continuous improvement principles.


• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.


• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.


• Strong MS Office skills; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
