Job summary

Randstad Türkiye, on behalf of our client, seeks a Project Director to lead an EPC turnkey industrial project in Turkey. You will oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and compliance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a civil/related engineering degree, 10+ years in large EPC projects, and strong leadership, English proficiency, and readiness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale EPC and turnkey projects.
  • Proven end-to-end project leadership as PM or Director on large projects.
  • Strong background in fuel storage terminals, tank farms, energy, oil & gas, petrochemicals.
  • Hands-on experience in fuel storage tank and piping projects.
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning.
  • Experience in budget management, cost control, scheduling, contracts.
  • Experience in subcontractor selection, negotiations, contract management.
  • Experience reporting to executive and senior management.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving.
  • No travel restrictions; willing to travel domestically or internationally.
  • Experience in Middle East and/or North Africa region preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning to handover.
  • Oversee scope, budget, schedule, quality standards, and profitability targets.
  • Monitor budgets, cost control, forecasts, and cash flow.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and delay risks.
  • Lead subcontractor selection, contract management, and negotiations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, costs, and obligations.
  • Establish project organization and build project teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams: Construction, Technical Office, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE.
  • Manage risks, variations, and potential claim processes.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management on progress and profitability.
  • Maintain communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure delivery aligned with scope, budget, quality and profitability.
  • Support commercial and operational objectives throughout lifecycle.
  • Remain open to future regional project responsibilities after current assignment.

On behalf of our client—a company operating in the sector and executing large-scale industrial and turnkey projects, we are seeking a Project Director to manage an EPC project.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the project from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover through to final delivery,
  • Oversee project scope, budget, schedule, quality standards, and profitability targets,
  • Monitor project budgets, cost control activities, forecasts, and cash flow,
  • Develop and manage project schedules, critical milestones, and potential delay risks,
  • Lead subcontractor selection processes, contract management, commercial negotiations, and contractual discussions,
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, costs, and contractual obligations,
  • Establish the project organization structure and build the required project teams,
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Construction, Technical Office, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, QA/QC, and HSE,
  • Manage project risks, variations, and potential claim processes,
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management on project progress, budget, cost, schedule, risks, and profitability,
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders,
  • Ensure successful project delivery in line with established schedule, budget, quality, and profitability objectives,
  • Support the company's commercial and operational objectives throughout the project lifecycle,
  • Remain open to taking on responsibilities in future regional projects following the completion of the current assignment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline,
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale EPC and turnkey industrial projects,
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects end-to-end as a Project Manager or Project Director,
  • Strong background in fuel storage terminals, tank farms, energy, oil gas, petrochemical, or similar industrial projects,
  • Hands‑on experience in fuel storage tank and piping projects,
  • Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning processes,
  • Solid experience in budget management, cost control, scheduling, contract administration, and subcontractor management,
  • Experienced in subcontractor selection, commercial negotiations, and contract management,
  • Demonstrated success in leading large, multidisciplinary teams,
  • Experience reporting to executive and senior management levels,
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken,
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management/planning tools,
  • Strong command of digital tools and technology
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills,
  • High level of accountability and professional integrity,
  • No restrictions on domestic or international travel,
  • Previous experience in the Middle East and/or North Africa region is preferred.
