Production Planning and Capacity Management

  • Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, project priorities, and target delivery dates by taking into account product technical specifications, production routings, operation durations, and labour requirements in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Evaluate existing capacity across production units, work centres, and machines; compare workload against available capacity. Identify bottlenecks, overloads, and idle capacity within the production system, and develop proposals for improvements or alternative planning strategies.
  • Monitor capacity utilization and plan adherence by comparing planned production against actual output.

Operational Tracking of In-House Production

  • Track open work orders, work-in-progress, and completed production on the shop floor on a daily basis.
  • Verify the physical status, quantity, and location of finished products, as well as their readiness for subsequent operations or shipment.
  • Ensure that data regarding completed production is accurately and promptly recorded in SAP or the relevant tracking systems.
  • Analyse planned versus actual production quantities, the completion status of operations, and any deviations from scheduled deadlines on a daily basis.
  • Identify production delays, backlogs, material shortages, and capacity constraints, and coordinate resolution actions with the relevant departments.
  • Monitor the workflow across production, quality control, packaging, and shipment to ensure the timely transfer of finished products to subsequent stages.

Subcontracted Production Planning and Monitoring

  • Identify gaps in production planning and tracking, and contribute to the standardization and improvement of these processes.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance the accuracy of production data, reduce the need for manual tracking, and streamline reporting.
