Job description

You will own the product experience across three of Turkey’s most-visited content properties — Onedio.com, Yemek.com and Webtekno.com — plus the Onedio and Yemek.com mobile apps on iOS and Android. This is a hands-on hybrid role: you set the roadmap and you run the sprint. You will be measured on user growth and engagement — and, because the business is advertising-funded, on protecting those numbers while ad formats are built into the product together with our ad operations team.

About us

Onedio started in 2013 and grew into one of Turkey’s largest digital media groups. Today the group operates Onedio.com, Yemek.com, Webtekno.com and Mackolik, reaching more than 40 million users and 200 million page views every month.

We are around 150 people, with a product and engineering team of 20+ working remotely. Our revenue model is advertising-driven, which means product decisions here are made with commercial context and in close coordination with ad operations, sales and editorial.

You will work inside a cross-functional squad alongside engineers, editors, designers, data analysts and ad operations, and directly with the CTO and CPO — the distance between your idea and a decision is short.

What you will own
  • Mobile: Onedio and Yemek.com apps (iOS + Android)
Outcomes you are accountable for
  • Growth: new user acquisition, app installs and activation, organic and referral traffic
  • Ad experience: ad placements that are implemented correctly, do not degrade usability, and do not compromise page performance or app stability — owned jointly with the ad operations team, who own the revenue targets themselves
  • Delivery: predictable, well-scoped releases your squad can actually ship
What you will do
Product & growth
  • Own and defend a quarterly roadmap for your properties, grounded in data rather than opinion.
  • Run the mobile app growth loop end to end: ASO, onboarding, push and notification strategy, deep linking, activation and retention experiments.
  • Analyze behavioral data and user feedback to find where people drop off — then decide what to build, what to fix and what to kill.
  • Design and read A/B tests properly, including knowing when a result is not significant.
  • Research competitors, adjacent products and international best practice, and translate findings into concrete backlog items.
Ad experience — in coordination with ad operations

Revenue targets and ad sales sit with the ad operations team. Your responsibility is the product side of it: making sure advertising lives inside the product without breaking it.

  • Work with ad operations on how and where ad formats are built into web and app products — placement, density, load behavior.
  • Hold the quality bar: ad implementations must not break layout, usability, Core Web Vitals or app stability. You define what “acceptable” looks like and you enforce it.
  • When a requested placement would damage engagement, raise the trade-off explicitly and bring data to the discussion rather than an opinion.
  • Support ad partner and platform integrations from the product side — what the integration needs from the product, and what it costs the user experience.
Delivery & team
  • Run the squad’s execution: backlog grooming, prioritization, sprint planning, scope negotiation.
  • Write specs an engineer can build from without a follow-up meeting.
  • Remove ambiguity early; remove blockers before they become delays.
  • Keep stakeholders — editorial, sales, leadership — informed with short, honest status updates.
Compliance
  • Work with legal and engineering on KVKK/GDPR requirements, consent management and platform policy changes (Google, Apple, ad networks), and turn regulatory changes into scoped product work.
What we are looking for
Must-have
  • 3+ years in product management or product ownership, ideally on a consumer-facing web or mobile product with meaningful traffic.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a product metric — you can tell us a number you moved, how you moved it, and how you knew it was you.
  • Comfort with data: you can pull and interpret your own analytics, and you understand cohorts, funnels and statistical significance.
  • Clear written communication in English and Turkish — specs, decision records, stakeholder updates.
  • AI tools are part of your daily working routine, not an occasional experiment. We will ask you to walk us through a concrete example — a research synthesis you compressed, a first-draft spec, a data question you answered without waiting for an analyst, a prototype you built to explain an idea faster than a document could.
  • The ability to work with little supervision in a fast-moving environment, and to say no to good ideas that are not this quarter’s priority.
What will set you apart
  • Mobile app product experience: shipping to the App Store and Play Store, working with attribution and app analytics, running acquisition and retention campaigns.
  • Growth or user acquisition background — paid UA, ASO, SEO, referral loops.
  • Experience in digital media, publishing or any ad-funded business model.
  • Familiarity with editorial workflows and content management systems.
  • UX research and interface design judgment — you can spot a usability problem and propose a fix, not just report it.
  • The ability to build a rough prototype yourself. The fastest way to settle a product argument is often a working POC rather than a slide — if you can put one together with tools like Claude Code, Cursor or v0, you will move noticeably faster here. To be clear: prototypes are for communicating an idea, not for shipping to production.
  • A point of view on what AI-driven search and answer engines mean for a traffic-dependent content business. You do not have to be right; you have to have thought about it.
Tools you will actually use here

Google Analytics 4, Firebase, Google Ad Manager, an attribution platform (AppsFlyer / Adjust or similar), a product analytics tool (Amplitude / Mixpanel or similar), Jira or Linear, Figma, enough SQL to answer your own questions, and whatever AI tooling makes you faster at all of the above — the licences are on us. You do not need all of them on day one — you do need to be the kind of person who learns a new one in a week.

What we offer
  • Company-paid licences for the AI tools you work with — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and similar — because we expect you to use them, not to expense them
  • Friendly and positive start-up culture
  • Dynamic work ecosystem where you can take initiative and responsibility
  • Employee-exclusive social benefits (including an annual luxury hotel getaway, picnics, happy hours, and various social events)
  • Private health insurance
  • Ticket to cover food expenses on a monthly basis
  • Unlimited drinks and snacks for everyone
  • Dress code: if you prefer to work in the office, you can wear whatever you want
  • Continuous learning with mentorship and on-the-job training
  • Opportunity to take more responsibility and grow professionally
