Job summary

Orkom Madencilik is seeking an experienced Procurement Leader to manage end-to-end sourcing for mining and construction projects in collaboration with project teams. You will lead equipment and spare parts sourcing, negotiate terms, and build resilient supplier networks to meet budget targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; mechanical or metallurgical/ materials engineering preferred.
• At least 7 years’ experience in procurement, technical sourcing, production, or technical sales within mining, heavy industry, construction, or machinery sectors.
• Experience in strategic procurement, supplier management, cost analysis, and budget monitoring.
• Strong negotiation skills regarding pricing, terms, and delivery conditions.
• Ability to develop alternative suppliers and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Job description

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for mining and construction projects in close collaboration with project teams.
• Manage sourcing processes for equipment, machinery spare parts, consumables, and construction materials in accordance with technical specifications, and develop alternative supplier sources.
• Evaluate procurement requests from technical, commercial, and operational perspectives and develop appropriate procurement strategies.
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing, payment terms, delivery conditions, and contractual terms.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, and develop alternative supplier networks.
• Identify cost optimization and savings opportunities in procurement activities and carry out the necessary analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, finance, and operations teams to ensure that procurement processes are completed effectively and on time.
• Ensure that procurement operations are carried out in accordance with company procedures, budget targets, and project requirements.
• Conduct reporting, analysis, and performance monitoring activities related to procurement operations.
• Coordinate workload distribution and process follow-up within the team to ensure that procurement activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in procurement, technical sourcing, production, or technical sales within the mining, heavy industry, construction, heavy machinery, or machinery spare parts sectors.
• Experience in managing technical procurement and sourcing processes, with knowledge of heavy machinery, mining equipment, machinery spare parts, consumables, and technical materials.
• Experience in strategic procurement, supplier management, cost analysis, and budget monitoring.
• Strong negotiation skills regarding pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
• Ability to develop alternative suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, and carry out cost optimization initiatives.
• Competency in team coordination, task follow-up, and process management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with project, engineering, finance, and operations teams.
