Job summary

Orkom Madencilik in Sarıyer, Marmara Region, Turkey, seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing for mining and construction projects. You will develop supplier networks, evaluate performance, and help optimize cost, quality, and delivery targets.

In this role you will negotiate competitive terms, collaborate with project teams, and ensure procurement activities align with technical specifications and schedules across engineering, finance, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of procurement/technical sourcing experience in mining, heavy industry, or construction.
• Knowledge of mining equipment, spare parts, consumables, or technical materials.
• Ability to develop procurement strategies and perform cost analyses.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with suppliers and project teams.

Job description

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for mining and construction projects in close collaboration with project teams.
• Research and evaluate potential suppliers capable of providing equipment, machinery spare parts, consumables, and construction materials in accordance with technical specifications.
• Conduct effective supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms.
• Build strategic supplier relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and develop alternative supplier networks.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, finance, and operations teams to improve the speed and efficiency of procurement processes.
• Ensure that procurement activities are carried out in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Conduct reporting, analysis, and follow-up activities related to procurement operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, technical sourcing, production, or technical sales within the mining, heavy industry, construction, heavy machinery, or machinery spare parts sectors.
• Knowledge of mining equipment, machinery spare parts, consumables, or technical materials.
• Ability to develop procurement strategies, evaluate supplier performance, and conduct cost analyses.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and project teams.
