Job summary

Allianz Türkiye is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to design and scale RESTful services in a microservices environment. You will implement API gateways, message brokers, and AI-enabled integrations, shaping data flows across enterprise apps.

You will apply advanced prompt engineering to ensure AI outputs stay accurate and context-aware, while building automated workflows with n8n or Windmill. Join a team that values innovation and quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Backend development (Full-stack candidates with a backend focus are also considered)
• Strong production experience in Java, Node.js (TypeScript), or Python
• Experience with Microservices, API Gateway, Message Brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and Event-Driven architectures
• Experience integrating LLM models into backend systems
• Prompt Engineering expertise for AI APIs integration
• Experience connecting different system APIs and data transformations
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for container-based deployment
• Knowledge of AI development, Data Analytics, Data Intelligence, AI/Data Strategy

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance, secure RESTful APIs using Java, Node.js (TypeScript), or Python
• Build microservices components aligned with EDA principles
• Integrate services with API Gateway and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Develop and maintain AI service integration layers with existing apps
• Apply proper Prompt Engineering to ensure AI outputs are contextually accurate
• Create data flows using n8n, Windmill, or similar tools with custom nodes
• Enable data/transaction flows between enterprise apps
• Improve error handling and data transformations in workflows
• Monitor application performance and optimize as needed
• Write clean, testable code and collaborate to solve challenges

What do we expect you to bring?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline


• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Backend development (Full-stack candidates with a backend focus are also considered).


• Strong production experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, Node.js (TypeScript), or Python.


• Practical experience with Microservices, API Gateway, Message Brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and Event-Driven architectures.


• Practical experience integrating LLM models into backend systems.


• Ability to integrate AI APIs with end-user applications and possess Prompt Engineering expertise.


• Experience in connecting different system APIs, transforming data formats, and implementing advanced error handling.


• Proven experience using enterprise orchestration tools such as n8n or Windmill in projects.


• Knowledge of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and context management between AI models and IDEs.


• Proficiency in container-based deployment and management practices using Docker and Kubernetes.


• Habit of efficiently using AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot in development processes.


• Having knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) development, Data Analytics, Data Intelligence, AI/Data Strategy.

How can you make an impact?

• Develop high-performance, secure, and scalable RESTful API services using one of the following languages: Java, Node.js (TypeScript), or Python.


• Implement flexible system components aligned with Microservices architecture and Event-Driven Architecture principles.


• Code and test services integrated with components such as API Gateway and Message Brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).


• Develop and maintain integration layers that connect AI services with existing applications.


• Ensure the accuracy and contextual relevance of AI outputs using Prompt Engineering techniques.


• Design and develop flows that automate complex business processes using n8n, Windmill, or similar tools, supported by custom nodes and scripting.


• Establish integration points that enable data and transaction flow between various enterprise applications.


• Strengthen error handling and data transformations within workflows.


• Monitor system performance of applications within your area of responsibility and implement necessary optimizations.


• Write testable and maintainable code that adheres to code quality standards.


• Collaborate with team members to solve technical challenges.
