Job summary

Intertech Information Technology and Marketing Inc. is seeking a middleware/DevOps engineer to work on middleware platforms, Kubernetes infrastructure, and automation.

You will install, configure, monitor, and optimize products like Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Layer7, and MuleSoft, while managing OpenShift and Google Anthos environments and Service Mesh architectures. Qualifications

• Experience in Linux operating systems.
• Experience with container technologies, Kubernetes ecosystem, and DevOps culture.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift and/or Google Anthos.
• Knowledge/experience with middleware components.
• Participation in installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, capacity, performance, and version management of Redis, RabbitMQ, Confluent Kafka/Flink, Layer7, MuleSoft.
• Interest in cluster health, capacity management, resource utilization in Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Active responsibility for platform layer, resource efficiency, continuity, and operational integration of Kubernetes platforms.
• Knowledge of Service Mesh architectures (e.g., Gloo Mesh).
• Interest in tools for resource efficiency in Kubernetes (ScaleOps).
• Knowledge of IIS core components and operational management.
• Experience with APM/observability solutions.
• Experience in performance monitoring, metrics, capacity utilization, and alarms.
• Root cause analysis for performance problems.
• DevOps & automation tools: CI/CD, GitOps, Ansible, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Bash/PowerShell, Nexus.
• Willingness to automate repetitive tasks.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, solution-focused, responsible.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Open to learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage middleware platforms, Kubernetes infrastructure, and DevOps/automation processes.
• Operate middleware apps like Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Flink, Layer7, MuleSoft.
• Install, configure, monitor, capacity, performance, and version updates for these products.
• Oversee Kubernetes/OpenShift platform health, capacity monitoring, and resource optimization.
• Work with Service Mesh architectures (Gloo Mesh, etc.).
• Improve product usage, traffic management, secure service communication, and traceability.
• Analyze cluster resource consumption with ScaleOps and similar tools.
• Support operational work related to core components in IIS environments.
• Manage metrics, dashboards, alarms, and monitoring with Grafana and Dynatrace.
• Define monitoring metrics and alarm mechanisms for middleware, Kubernetes, and Service Mesh.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Automate manual tasks with Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Jenkins, ArgoCD.
• Participate in CI/CD, GitOps, deployment, artifact management, and automation.
• Apply version updates, patches, and maintenance for middleware and Kubernetes.
• Follow up on vulnerabilities and coordinate action with teams.
• Improve security, performance, continuity, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams.
