Job summary

Philips Iberica SAU is seeking an RTR Accounting Controller for the META region. You will own the integrity of financial records across operating units and legal entities, coordinating Record-to-Report with Accounting Operations, the Global Hub, shared service centers, and outsourced providers.

This role demands IFRS expertise, strong controls, and the ability to work with senior stakeholders in a high-velocity, multinational environment, including hyperinflation and currency-restricted markets.

Qualifications

Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACA/ACCA/CA(SA)/SMMM or equivalent).
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent.
10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership in a multinational environment across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

Own monthly, quarterly and annual close for the region; ensure timely, accurate data for group consolidation.
Review IFRS compliance and deadlines for financial statements.
Monitor balance sheet reconciliations; document and clear aged/unsupported items.
Determine accounting treatment for complex transactions with Technical Accounting & Oversight.
Manage the statutory-to-IFRS bridge and local regimes across jurisdictions.
Advise the business on accounting implications of transactions and changes.
Identify risks in financial processes and drive remediation with stakeholders.
Coordinate remote/distributed teams and drive process standardisation.
Oversee ICS framework and close findings with timely actions.
