Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Medical Affairs professional in Turkey to ensure medical compliance and align strategies with global and local teams. You will identify medical needs, provide input for trials, and collaborate with clinicians and brands to support scientifically accurate communications.

Ideal candidates have a university degree in Medicine or Pharmacy, at least one year of Medical Affairs experience, and fluent English.

• Knowledge of pharmacovigilance and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medical compliance while aligning with international and domestic business development strategies.
• Identify opportunities and medical needs; propose strategies and manage execution of strategic medical projects linked with brand strategies.
• Cooperate with clinical research teams to provide clinical input and identify potential sites/investigators.
• Provide responses to medical information requests from the Medical Community and sales teams, using all available resources including pharmacovigilance issues.
• Support Brand Managers in preparing promotional material and ensure high-level clinical and scientific accuracy.
• Provide medical trainings to internal and external partners (e.g., speaker briefings).
• Build long-term relationships with identified KOLs through regular external engagements.

Job Description

• Ensure medical compliance while aligning with international and domestic business development strategies.
• Identify opportunities and medical needs/ requests propose strategies and manage execution of agreed strategic medical projects linked with brand strategies.
• Cooperate with clinical research team to provide appropriate clinical input regarding the therapeutic area and jointly work in identifying and contacting potential sites and investigators.
• Provide response to questions and requests for medical information from the Medical Community and the sales team, based on practical and theoretical knowledge, utilizing all available resources where appropriate, including pharmacovigilance issues.
• For medical related issues, jointly work within brand team in preparation and participation in scientific meetings and events.
• To support Brand Managers in preparing promotional material and review it to ensure the highest level of clinical and scientific accuracy. Provide scientific & medical expertise to support the related brand team and contribute proactively to the successful implementation of brand plans.
• Provide medical trainings to internal & external partners (ie speaker briefings).
• Build long-term relationships with identified KOLs, to achieve medical objectives through regular and continuous external engagements.

Qualifications

• University degree in Medicine or Pharmacy,
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Affairs is required. Experience of at least 1 year in a Medical Manager role would be considered an advantage,
• Fluency in English,
• Experience in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for the assigned therapeutic area, and in medical research in general,
• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of medical affairs to advance the medical and scientific objectives of a pharmaceutical company,
• Demonstrated expertise in the scientific methods applied to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory controls applicable to this research.
