Job summary

Motlow State Community College is accepting applications for an Adjunct Engineering Faculty (Pool). This pool position requires teaching up to 12 credit hours per semester, across multiple campuses, and collaborating with faculty on curricular issues.

A bachelor’s degree in a qualifying field is required, with preferred teaching experience. Salary is $500-$700 per credit hour, with consideration of campus needs and funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in qualifying field from a regionally accredited institution by the appointment date.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and approved syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools; travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership on curricular issues and program needs.
• Stay current with developments in the teaching discipline and incorporate updates into instruction.
• Support curricular and co-curricular activities within the college.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester.
• Maintain availability to communicate with and meet students regarding coursework.
• Respond promptly to the Dean’s requests and submit paperwork timely.
• Perform duties in accordance with MSCC policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
