Job summary

Eaton Turkey is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver standard mechanical designs and customer-specific solutions for MV switchgear. You will manage BOMs, 3D models, and manufacturing drawings, ensuring accuracy in PLM/PDM and SAP while aligning with international standards and customer requirements.

You will collaborate with application engineering and planning teams, prepare technical specifications, and drive approvals. Strong English and a proactive learning attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience for medium-voltage switchgear.
• Knowledge of IEC 62271 series standards.
• Knowledge of Sheet Metal, Machining and Welding manufacturing technologies.
• Understanding of mechanical interlocking in MV power distribution systems.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide standard mechanical design deliverables and customer-specific solutions.
• Maintain BOMs, 3D models, and manufacturing drawings in PLM/PDM and SAP.
• Prepare technical specifications and ensure BOM accuracy for components.
• Drive customer approvals for standard and customized designs through coordination.
• Document activities and data per procedures.
• Contribute to Design and Process FMEA and implement mitigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and management to resolve issues.
• Proactively learn new methods and tooling; monitor industry best practices.
