Manufacturing Engineer – Lean, APQP & Process Launch Leader

Job summary

Neapco in Turkey is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Engineer to lead the development and deployment of efficient, cost-conscious manufacturing processes for automotive driveline components.

You will collaborate with shopfloor specialists, drive APQP and PM systems, ensure compliance with IATF 16949, monitor equipment capacity and quality, and manage process launches. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in automotive manufacturing and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in an automotive parts manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in English is a must.
• Knowledge and understanding of CI tools and approaches (lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, problem solving, Kanban, process mapping, etc.).
• Experience with IATF 16949.
• Experience with structured APQP process.
• Experience with AIAG VDA P-FMEA.
• Experience on FANUC and/or SIEMENS programming.
• Understanding and application of SPC/process control.
• AutoCAD and Minitab (or other statistical package).

Responsibilities

• Provide sustainability of the production performance and quality.
• Work closely with specialists and operators in the shopfloor to ensure the efficiency of the manufaturing lines.
• Manage daily Process Audits.
• Coordinate product and process launches using APQP procedures and principles.
• Ensure that the manufacturing process is established with equipment, tooling, and process controls that can meet customer, risk, and operation targets.
• Manage through direct reports, the implementation of the PM system and the maintenance and repair of new equipment and tooling and the related physical plant in those areas through launch up until Production assumes responsibility.
• Monitor and plan equipment and tooling capacity.
• Maintain environmental regulatory compliance.
• Take role in establishing a capital budget and expense budget for management approval.
• Ensure that the applicable standard practices are understood and applied.
• Maintain metrics on: equipment and tooling capacity utilization, regulatory conformance, launch conformance, process performance, process control, PM performance, and labour standards conformance.
