Job summary

ALPLA Group in Gebze, Turkey is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead Chemical/Mechanical and Electrical maintenance teams, ensuring maximal equipment availability and compliant operations. You will plan, coordinate, and manage maintenance activities in line with production needs and budgets, while guiding a high-performing team in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering field.
• Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience in ALPLA or a similar manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years of team leadership / supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine control systems.
• Hands-on experience in managing a busy maintenance or engineering function.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Mould Shop, and Utilities & Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities maximize machine and facility availability.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance aligned with production needs to minimize downtime.
• Manage maintenance records, spare parts, tools, equipment, and procedures.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, costs, energy use, and spare part usage; report regularly.
• Oversee maintenance contractors, suppliers, service providers, and related purchasing.
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, 5S, and health & safety policies.
• Support Production and Quality teams in resolving technical and customer-related issues.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Lead and manage the Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Mould Shop, and Utilities & Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure the effective execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize machine and facility availability.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities in line with production requirements and minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper management of maintenance records, spare parts, tools, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, costs, energy consumption, and spare part usage; prepare regular reports and presentations.
• Manage maintenance contractors, suppliers, service providers, and maintenance-related purchasing activities.
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget and maintenance contracts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, 5S, and health & safety requirements.
• Support Production and Quality teams in resolving technical issues and customer-related quality concerns.
• Lead, develop, and evaluate the maintenance team, including training and performance management.
• Represent the Maintenance Department in cross-functional meetings and ensure effective communication with other departments.
• Take an active role in troubleshooting and resolving critical equipment breakdowns.
