Job summary

Ülker is a leading food company in Türkiye, part of pladis Global, focused on delivering happiness with every bite. We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to maintain and automate our production lines, participate in Industry 4.0 initiatives, and drive OEE improvements across cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA, TPM concepts, and a proactive problem-solver mindset to sustain high manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience in maintenance and/or automation in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of production equipment and automation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, commissioning, and performance optimization across mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automation systems.
• Contribute to preventive, predictive, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, productivity, and OEE.

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of production equipment and automation systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, commissioning, and performance optimization activities across mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automation systems.
• Contribute to preventive, predictive, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, productivity, and OEE performance.
• Support the implementation and development of Industry 4.0 applications, including IoT, data-driven maintenance, and machine vision technologies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality, and occupational health & safety standards.

What Do You Need for This Role?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
• Previous experience in Maintenance and/or Automation within FMCG, food manufacturing, or other process industries.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automation systems with a multidisciplinary approach.
• Experience working with both legacy and modern production equipment, or the adaptability to operate effectively in such environments.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems; experience with third-party software tools or 3D design applications is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting, commissioning, and optimizing sensors, servo systems, drives, and motors.
• Familiarity with TPM, OEE, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Maintenance Management Systems (SAP PM, CMMS, etc.).
• Interest in or exposure to machine vision, IoT technologies, and data‑driven maintenance practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a 24/7 manufacturing environment and coordinate with cross‑functional operational teams when required.
• Leadership potential to manage and develop frontline technical teams.
