ASTEMO BURSA OTOMOTIV A.Ş. is seeking a Maintenance Automation Engineer to strengthen our automation operations at Bursa. The role focuses on maintaining automated lines, troubleshooting, and improving control software across PLCs, robots, HMIs, and data systems.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 2+ years in automotive automation, strong Siemens PLC/HMI skills, and good English for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in industrial automation and maintenance.
• Strong Siemens PLC/HMI experience and industrial comms.
• Experience with data acquisition, SQL, Python or NI tools is a plus.
• Good English and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability and performance of automation on highly automated lines.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for automation breakdowns.
• Develop and maintain PLC, robot, HMI, servo and control software.
• Standardize software, documentation, backups across equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modernization of machinery.
• Drive digitalization and data-driven improvement projects.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to maintenance teams.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of automation systems on highly automated assembly lines.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and permanent technical solutions for automation-related breakdowns and recurring failures.
• Develop and maintain PLC, Robot, HMI, servo, machine control software, and industrial communication systems.
• Standardize automation software, control systems, technical documentation, backups, and automation components across production equipment.
• Support the installation, commissioning, modernization, and improvement of new and existing machinery from an automation and control perspective.
• Drive automation-related continuous improvement, obsolescence management, and technical cost reduction initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and training to maintenance teams to strengthen internal automation capabilities.
• Drive digitalization and data-driven improvement projects through machine connectivity, data acquisition, traceability, dashboards, and database-based applications.

Profile and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation and maintenance, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong experience with Siemens PLC/HMI systems, including relevant PLC programming languages and industrial communication systems.
• Experience with industrial robots, servo systems, machine control systems, and automation equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in digitalization, data acquisition, SQL databases, Python, PHP, HTML, or NI software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, reporting, and data analysis capabilities.
• Good level of English Good knowledge of MS Office tools Effective communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
