Job summary

Calderys is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Technician to perform preventive, corrective and routine maintenance on highly automated production equipment. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures and replace components as needed.

Install, commission and test machines, monitor performance and safety systems, and maintain detailed maintenance records per quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of industrial maintenance in automated manufacturing.
• Read drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and repair skills.
• Experience with PLC (Modicon and Allen-Bradley).
• Lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safety/OSHA standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with coworkers, contractors and vendors.
• Strong computer skills and experience with online work order/preventive maintenance tracking system.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures, including component replacement and reassembly.
• Install, commission, and test machines, including utility connections, lubrication systems, and operational parameters.
• Monitor and inspect machine performance, safety systems, pressure levels, lubrication flow, and critical mechanical components.
• Conduct periodic maintenance on gearboxes, bearings, drive systems, clutches, brakes, and central lubrication systems.
• Adjust machine settings and ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operation of equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and documentation in compliance with quality management procedures.
• Follow occupational health, safety, environmental, and emergency response regulations while supporting continuous improvement and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Requires high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
• Strong computer skills and previous experience using on-line work order/preventive maintenance tracking system
• Knowledge of pneumatics and repair skills
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and blueprints
• Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
• Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
• Understanding of basic safety/OSHA standards
• Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with coworkers, contractors and vendors
• The Manufacturing Production Technician requires a strong track record of maintaining technical competency and five plus (5+) years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience in a highly-automated, batching environment along with experience working on PLC (Modicon and Allen Bradly).
