Job summary

Avesoro is a leading gold mining company, seeking an Accounting Assistant to bolster the Logistics Department. This role supports pre-accounting, financial recordkeeping, and reporting, coordinating with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure timely financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years in accounting/finance/pre-accounting.
• ERP experience and advanced Excel proficiency required.
• Experience in logistics, procurement, import/export, or mining operations is a plus.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor supplier invoices in the ERP system.
• Manage day-to-day pre-accounting activities for logistics operations.
• Coordinate financial documentation between Logistics, Finance and Accounting.
• Perform supplier and service provider reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor supplier balances and follow up on outstanding items.
• Conduct pre-payment checks and coordinate with departments for payments.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports.
• Maintain organized filing systems and document management.
