Job summary

SPIE Turbomachinery seeks a senior inspection engineer to develop and validate RBI-based inspection strategies and to act as the technical expert in inspection engineering. You will ensure compliance with API/ASME standards and contractual requirements, producing and supervising inspection deliverables and WSE baseline dossiers.

You will coordinate site campaigns, maintain technical documentation, and lead workshops while interfacing with internal departments and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Material / Corrosion, or Chemical / Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in integrity management or inspection.
• Strong knowledge of RBI methodologies (API 580) and inspection codes (API 510, 570, 653, ASME).
• Proficiency in NDT techniques and inspection software (RBI tools, CMMS/CMIMS).

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve and validate inspection strategies, including RBI methodologies.
• Act as the primary technical expert for inspection engineering matters.
• Approve and validate inspection procedures and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, and contractual requirements.
• Produce and supervise the execution of inspection engineering deliverables.
• Develop baseline dossiers, inspection plans, Written Schemes of Examination (WSE).
• Conduct or coordinate inspection baseline activities and site campaigns.
• Maintain assumption registers and technical documentation.
• Lead and supervise inspection engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate data preparation, collection, and integration into RBI/CMMS systems.
• Ensure quality assurance/control of all inspection deliverables.
• Highlight deviations, non-conformances, and unacceptable risks.
• Prepare and lead technical workshops and inspection/RBI discussions.
• Act as the key interface with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Present results, negotiate solutions, and communicate inspection findings.
