Job summary

3M in Turkey (Istanbul) or UAE (Dubai) is seeking a Trade Compliance Leader to head regional trade compliance operations within the Emerging Markets region. You will guide import/export declarations, oversee a local team, and partner with authorities to ensure frictionless trade.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years in global trade compliance, proficiency in English and Turkish, and hands-on SAP/SAP GTS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 8-10 years of work experience in global trade compliance, customs operations, or logistics.
• Proficiency in English and Turkish.
• Previous experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP and SAP GTS.
• Ability to interact with external stakeholders such as authorities.
• Compliance-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead trade compliance operations in Emerging Markets to meet customs requirements.
• Support import/export declarations in regulated countries including Turkey and UAE.
• Manage trade initiatives enabling frictionless air, ocean and ground transport.
• Review and validate import/export activities and implement improvements.
• Provide knowledge of local customs processes to the global trade compliance org.
• Act as customs expert for customer operations and logistics, guiding across workstreams.
• Provide end-to-end leadership across regional trade compliance and supervise local team.
