Job summary

TEI - TUSAŞ Motor Sanayii A.Ş. in Kartal, Istanbul, seeks Design Engineers/Lead Design Engineers to work on rotors, structures and compression systems for GE Aerospace engine programs.

The role focuses on manufacturability, engineering leadership, and delivering robust design solutions for advanced aviation technology. The position emphasizes individual contribution with cross-functional collaboration, CAD tools familiarity, and a strong engineering mindset to support next-generation propulsion

Qualifications

• BSc and/or MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical component design engineering.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated skills, familiarity or ability to learn CAD modelling and simulation tools.
• Strong cross-functional teaming, coordination and communication skills.
• Highly motivated, self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aviation technology.
• Demonstrated accountability, ownership skills and diligence in meeting commitments within tight and fluctuation schedules.
• Ability to guide and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Execute the design of parts in technology demonstrator programs leading/performing component/assembly level design assessments for engine hardware.
• Work closely with global teams performing module and component level design adhering to standards and requirements.
• Contribute to daily management routines, standard work and KPI-aligned activities.
• Develop a project plan with work packages, milestones and objectives in line with the program schedule.
• Document lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement.
