Job summary

Ericsson GmbH in Türkiye (Ankara) is seeking an IT Test Engineer to strengthen the QA team. You will design and execute functional and performance tests, identify defects, and ensure that IT applications are ready for reliable production releases.

You will collaborate with development and cross-functional teams, maintain test environments, and help improve test coverage and QA processes to enable stable releases.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related IT testing role.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and defect lifecycle.
• Experience designing and executing functional test cases.
• Knowledge of performance testing concepts and preferably performance test scripting.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements and design effective IT test cases.
• Plan, design, and execute functional and performance testing activities.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts and perform related unit testing.
• Execute manual and automated test cases using testing tools and report results.
• Prepare, validate, and maintain test environments, data, and scenarios.
• Troubleshoot IT applications and investigate issues identified during testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
• Retest resolved defects and manage the defect lifecycle from identification through closure.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze issues, follow up on fixes, and ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to improving test coverage, testing efficiency, automation, and overall QA processes.
• Support stable and reliable software releases by proactively identifying quality risks.
