Job summary

Intertek seeks an Accounting & Invoicing Specialist for its Turkey office. The role focuses on issuing invoices, processing expenses, and supporting month-end closings within a collaborative finance team.

The ideal candidate has a related degree, 3 years’ experience, and strong knowledge of accrual accounting and VAT. Flexibility in hours during peak periods is appreciated; Turkish employment is offered.

Qualifications

Degree in accounting or related field
Experience in general accounting processes and maintaining accounting records
Experience with invoicing processes and accounts receivable
Familiar with accrual accounting principles and multi-month expense allocations
Knowledge of VAT and summary tax returns is preferred
Able to adapt to flexible working hours during peak periods

Responsibilities

Issuing sales invoices, tracking and reporting on sales returns and cancellations, preparing summary reports, and entering accounting entries into the system
Processing expense invoices, handling prepayments and inventory records, and monitoring invoice approval processes
Conducting month-end closing procedures and creating accrual entries
Creating payment instructions for current and personnel expenses, taxes, and other payments
Assisting in the preparation of legal declarations
