Job summary

METRO Türkiye is seeking a senior procurement professional to manage GNFR (non-trade) categories across Stores and Head Office. You will translate needs into concrete procurement plans and drive tendering, negotiations, and supplier performance.

In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with global and local teams, oversee contract management, and ensure continuous supply of office and operational goods, while monitoring budgets and savings opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Experience in Indirect Procurement / Non-Trade Procurement with GNFR category knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Translate purchasing needs into procurement plans with business units.
• Manage GNFR procurement and supplier management (catering, vehicles, fuel, cleaning, security, etc.).
• Oversee end-to-end indirect procurement across Stores and Head Office; main contact for METRO AG colleagues.
• Coordinate contracts, pricing, and renewal processes; maintain SAP Ariba catalogs.
• Ensure supply of documents, office supplies, stationery, and furniture for stores and offices.
• Evaluate supplier options; manage quotations, tenders, negotiations, and supplier performance.
• Monitor costs and savings; manage budgets for service costs and categories.
• Support procurement for new stores openings and renovations; assist with projects.
• Collaborate with global/local teams on procurement projects for Türkiye.

Job Description

• Work closely with business units to translate purchasing needs into concrete procurement plans.
• Manage procurement and supplier management processes across GNFR (Goods and Services Not for Resale) categories, including catering/canteen services, company vehicles, fuel, employee transportation, cleaning, security and other corporate services.
• Manage end-to-end indirect/non-trade procurement processes for all goods and services across our Stores and Head Office and act as the main point of contact for METRO AG colleagues on related topics.
• Manage contract, pricing, payment terms, scope of services and renewal processes in coordination with relevant stakeholders; ensure the smooth execution of contract signing and archiving processes and maintain accurate and up-to-date contracts and catalogs in SAP Ariba.
• Ensure the continuous and sustainable supply of documents, office and consumable supplies, stationery, furniture and other products used for internal and operational purposes across our Stores.
• Analyze internal customer needs; identify suitable product/service and supplier alternatives, manage quotation, comparison, tendering, negotiation and supplier selection processes, and monitor supplier portfolio and performance while developing alternative supplier options.
• Evaluate price, quality, service levels and operational requirements to establish competitive purchasing conditions; leverage long‑term agreements and effective negotiations to achieve optimum costs and purchasing advantages.
• Manage budgets and expenditures related to service costs and assigned procurement categories; conduct analysis and reporting on costs, savings and supplier performance.
• Support procurement processes for goods and services related to new store openings, renovations, technical investments and other company projects.
• Collaborate with global and local teams on global procurement projects and agreements and support the implementation and adaptation of relevant practices within the Türkiye organization.
• Lead process improvement, standardization and efficiency initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Experience in Indirect Procurement / Non-Trade Procurement, with category management knowledge across GNFR categories such as services, IT, maintenance & repair and marketing.
• Preferably experienced in procurement within retail, FMCG or an international omnichannel organization, particularly across Head Office and Store environments.
• Strong knowledge and experience in goods and services procurement, supplier management, tendering, contracting and commercial negotiations, as well as budget management, cost analysis and reporting.
• Preferably experienced with SAP Ariba or similar e-procurement/SRM systems, including experience in providing user training.
