Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Silivri/İstanbul is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle. The role focuses on onboarding, payroll coordination, policy guidance, and fostering an inclusive, productive workplace.

The candidate should have 5–8 years in HR, strong communication, and a solid understanding of local labor laws, with experience in multinational settings preferred. Fluency in Turkish and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• 5-8 years of HR experience, generalist or HR operations.
• Experience across employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration.
• Multinational or matrix org experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of local labor law and HR best practices.
• Knowledge of end-to-end HR processes.
• Familiarity with HRIS and HR analytics.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management.
• Strong communication and influencing abilities.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Fluent Turkish and English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
• Coordinate employment contracts, amendments and related documentation.
• Be first point of contact for HR policies and workplace matters.
• Foster a positive employee experience and inclusive environment.
• Support performance management, goal setting and reviews.
• Assist development needs identification and training initiatives.
• Coordinate monthly payroll processes with payroll providers and Finance.
• Support employee engagement and wellbeing programs.
• Participate in HR projects and process improvements.

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive employee experience, operational efficiency, and compliance with labor legislation and company policies.

What do we expect from this role?

• Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
• Coordinate employment contracts, amendments, and related documentation.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace-related matters.
• Promote a positive employee experience and foster an inclusive work environment.
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews.
• Support identification of development needs and implementation of training initiatives.
• Manage and coordinate monthly payroll processes in partnership with payroll providers, Finance, and relevant stakeholders.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and well-being programs.
• Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.

What is required for this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related file.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist or HR operations role.
• Experience supporting multiple HR disciplines including employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration.
• Experience in a multinational and/or matrix organization is preferred.
• Good understanding of local labor law and HR best practices.
• Knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
• Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and HR analytics.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Good command of written and spoken Turkish and English.
