Job summary

7 Mehmet Restaurant in Istanbul is seeking an experienced Head Waiter to lead daily floor operations and uphold our service standards. You will coordinate front-of-house activities, guide service staff, and ensure guests receive attentive, professional service from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily floor and service operations before, during, and after service
• Ensuring that 7 Mehmet’s service standards are consistently followed throughout the guest journey
• Organizing assigned sections and supporting table planning according to reservations and operational requirements
• Guiding and supporting waiters and service team members during service
• Monitoring service flow and responding proactively to operational needs during high-volume periods
• Ensuring effective communication and coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams
• Following guest requests closely and ensuring timely, professional, and attentive service
• Supporting the resolution of guest feedback and service-related concerns in a calm and solution-oriented manner
• Maintaining strong knowledge of the menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and product characteristics
• Providing accurate and confident menu guidance and recommendations to guests
• Ensuring service procedures, table settings, presentation, and grooming standards are maintained
• Supporting opening, closing, and shift handover procedures
• Contributing to the onboarding, training, and development of service team members
• Supporting a professional, respectful, disciplined, and collaborative working environment
• Ensuring compliance with hygiene, food safety, and occupational health and safety standards

As we expand this legacy to Istanbul, we are strengthening our front-of-house team for our new operation at Tersane Istanbul and are looking for an experienced Head Waiter who can represent the service standards and hospitality philosophy of 7 Mehmet with professionalism and consistency.

About the Role

The Head Waiter will play a key role in the smooth execution of daily floor operations, ensuring that service standards are consistently maintained and that guests receive attentive, professional, and seamless service throughout their experience.

Working closely with restaurant management, the kitchen, and the service team, the Head Waiter will be expected to support team coordination, maintain operational discipline, and contribute directly to guest satisfaction.
