At Sabancı Foundation, we are looking for a Grant Programs Coordinator to join our Programs and International Relations Department. We are seeking a collaborative and proactive professional who enjoys working with civil society organizations and diverse stakeholders, has strong coordination and relationship-building skills, and is committed to creating meaningful social impact. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, monitoring, and continuous development of the Foundation's grantmaking portfolio in line with our strategic priorities, while coordinating partnerships and supporting the effective, impact-driven delivery of our grant programs.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree or higher is preferred.
- Has at least five years of professional experience in grantmaking, program and project management, or the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of grant programs within civil society organizations, foundations, or international organizations.
- Demonstrates expertise and practical experience in at least five years of professional experience in grantmaking, program and project management, or the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of grant programs within civil society organizations, foundations, or international organizations.
- Demonstrates expertise and practical experience in at least five years of professional experience in grantmaking, program and project management, or the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of grant programs within civil society organizations, foundations, or international organizations.
- Possesses strong analytical skills with the ability to design and manage program development, grant management, and learning, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
- Has an impact-oriented mindset and experience assessing program outcomes and impact, facilitating organizational learning, and translating evidence into decision-making.
- Is comfortable working across disciplines and building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Has experience developing strategic partnerships and managing relationships with international organizations, foundations, and civil society organizations.
- Demonstrates excellent planning, coordination, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Has experience coordinating communications, accessibility, and event organization processes that enhance program visibility, and works effectively in team environments.
- Is self-motivated, solution-oriented, and able to work independently while taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Has excellent written and spoken English skills sufficient to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
- Is eager to learn, open to innovation, and committed to continuous professional development.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Is based in Istanbul and able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Key Responsibilities
The Grant Programs Coordinator will:
- Contribute to the coordination of the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the Foundation's grantprograms.
- Support the design and implementation of grant calls, coordinate proposal review and assessment processes, and facilitate grant approval and award procedures.
- Monitor the implementation, budgets, reporting, and compliance of supported projects while coordinating impact measurement, learning, and evaluation processes.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Foundation's grantmaking portfolio by monitoring national and international trends and supporting the adoption of innovative approaches.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with civil society organizations, public institutions, academia, the private sector, and international organizations.
- Conduct research, analysis, and business development activities related to grant programs, identifying and assessing new partnership and funding opportunities.
- Coordinate the Foundation's participation and representation in national and international meetings, networks, and events related to its thematic priorities.
- Plan and coordinate communications, accessibility, and event organization activities for grant programs in close collaboration with relevant internal teams.
