Job summary

Confidential Careers in the UAE is seeking an experienced Goods Receiver to join a leading hospitality entity. You will receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring accuracy against orders and specifications, and transfer goods to proper storage while monitoring temperature-controlled items.

Fluent English and Turkish are required, and you must be open to relocating to the UAE. You will work closely with Purchasing, Stores and Kitchen teams to maintain stock integrity and uphold food safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Goods Receiver or similar role in hospitality.
• Experience in restaurants or hotels preferred.
• Knowledge of F&B products is a plus.
• Familiarity with receiving, inventory and stock procedures.
• Fluent in English and Turkish.
• Willingness to relocate to UAE.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all deliveries against purchase orders, invoices and approved specifications.
• Check quantities, quality, freshness, packaging and expiry dates of delivered products.
• Ensure all received goods meet required standards before accepting deliveries.
• Identify and report damaged, incorrect, short or rejected items to the relevant departments.
• Verify delivery documentation and maintain accurate receiving records.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance, Stores, Kitchen and operational teams regarding deliveries.
• Ensure goods are properly handled, labelled and transferred to the appropriate storage areas.
• Monitor temperature-controlled deliveries and ensure food safety standards are maintained.
• Support stock control by ensuring all received items are accurately recorded in the relevant systems.
• Assist with regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies where required.
• Maintain a clean, organized and compliant receiving area.
• Ensure all receiving procedures comply with company policies, food safety requirements and hygiene standards.
• Maintain strong communication with suppliers and delivery teams regarding any discrepancies or issues.
• Support the Purchasing and Operations teams with receiving-related queries and follow-ups.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Goods Receiver, Receiving Clerk, Storekeeper or similar role within hospitality.
• Previous experience in restaurants, hotels or hospitality groups strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of F&B products, particularly fresh produce, meat, seafood, beverages and dry goods.
• Understanding of receiving, inventory and stock control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when checking deliveries.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to identify quality, quantity and specification discrepancies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic understanding of inventory or purchasing systems.
• Fluent in English and Turkish
• Must be open to relocating to the UAE
