Job summary

ABB in Türkiye invites a skilled Import/Export Operations Specialist to manage local customs activities, oversee brokers, and ensure compliant documentation. Join a hybrid team that supports cross-border flows essential to our Electrification in Türkiye.

You will monitor shipments daily, coordinate with customs brokers, apply Turkish regulations, maintain records, and drive process improvements using SAP GTS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in customs operations, trade compliance, or brokerage.
• Experience with Turkish customs laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with customs declarations and broker coordination.
• Knowledge of SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily import/export shipments and oversee customs clearance via brokers.
• Act as main contact for customs brokers for clarifications on valuation or classification.
• Apply Turkish customs procedures and ensure correct declarations.
• Audit brokers for correctness of entries, invoicing, and archiving.
• Maintain and archive customs records; provide day-to-day activity reports.
• Manage documentation and online forms for compliant import/export activities.
• Share knowledge of import/export laws and procedures with colleagues.
• Communicate with export/import authorities and suppliers as needed.
• Maintain data in SAP GTS and other trade applications.
• Support process and system improvements; maintain master data.
• Supervise broker performance and KPIs.
