Job summary

Asentor, an Istanbul-based trading company, seeks a Supplier Development Assistant for a full-time, office-based role in Istanbul. The job focuses on finding new suppliers, assessing products for CIS markets, and initiating collaboration talks at fairs.

Qualifications

• Turkish citizenship or valid Turkish work permit.
• Professionally proficient in English; additional European languages a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Able to understand technical products from catalogues and datasheets.
• Confident approaching new contacts at fairs.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to spot opportunities.
• Good Excel skills; openness to AI tools.
• Internship or work experience in procurement or international trade is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Attend Istanbul industrial fairs and meet exhibitors on-site.
• Identify companies that export to CIS markets.
• Follow up with catalogues, price lists, distributor terms.
• Prepare short written product–market fit reports.
• Build and maintain a directory of suppliers and their networks.
• Support ongoing projects with supplier research.
