Asentor is an Istanbul-based trading company that buys industrial products from manufacturers in Turkey, Europe and the US and sells them to customers in CIS markets. Role Description

The Supplier Development Assistant is a full-time, office-based role in Istanbul ( İstanbul Dünya Ticaret Merkezi, Bakırköy ). The focus is finding new opportunities: identifying new suppliers, assessing their products for our target markets, and opening the relationship.

Main responsibilities

• Field work at Istanbul industrial fairs (İFM, TÜYAP), including several full days on site per fair: meeting exhibitors, reaching export managers and starting collaboration talks
• Identifying companies that export, or could export, to CIS countries
• Following up after fairs to get catalogues, price lists and distributor terms
• Product–market fit research, delivered as short written reports
• Building and maintaining a directory of suppliers and their networks
• Supporting ongoing projects with supplier research when needed

Qualifications

• Turkish citizenship or a valid Turkish work permit
• Professional working proficiency in English; German, Italian or another European language is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical), Foreign Trade, International Trade or a related field
• Ability to understand technical products and read catalogues and datasheets
• Confidence approaching new contacts at fairs and building relationships
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand opportunities
• Good Excel skills; openness to working with AI tools
• Internship or work experience in procurement, foreign trade or industrial sales is an advantage

Working Conditions

• Salary: 40,000–55,000 TL net per month, depending on the candidate’s experience and availability
• Travel, meals and other work-related costs are covered by the company
• Working hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00, with a 1-hour lunch break
